The Philadelphia Locksmith Neighbors Have Trusted Since 2009

Nobody plans to need a locksmith. You call because something already went wrong — and it usually happens at the worst possible time. Keys locked in the car. Standing outside your front door at 11pm. A deadbolt that finally gave up after years of sticking.

We started in 2009 and we've done over 15,000 jobs since then. We're not a national chain. We're not a booking platform passing your address to whoever's available. When you call (215) 258-9982, you reach our team directly — and we'll tell you honestly how long it'll take to get to you.

What Happens When You Call

A real person picks up. No recordings, no menus, no hold music. You tell us where you are. We check who's closest to you and give you a straight time estimate — usually 15 to 30 minutes across most of Philadelphia. Rush hour on Broad Street is a different situation from a Sunday morning in Roxborough, and we'll be honest about that either way.

We give you the price before anyone gets in the van. No low quote on the phone and a different number at the door. Plenty of companies quote $35 to win the call, then hand you a bill for $300 at the door. We hear those stories every week. That doesn't happen here. No add-ons when we arrive.

Locksmith Services in Philadelphia

Home, car, and business locksmith services across the city — available 24/7.

24/7 Emergency Locksmith

We've taken calls on Christmas morning, during Eagles games, at 3am in February when it was 18 degrees outside. Our emergency team covers every neighborhood in the city, every day of the year. Response time is typically 15 to 30 minutes. If a child or pet is trapped inside a vehicle, call 911 first — then call us.

Residential Locksmith

Home lockouts make up roughly half our daily calls. Beyond lockouts, we rekey homes after moves — especially older Philadelphia rowhouses where you genuinely have no idea how many copies of the keys exist. We also install deadbolts, fix sticky locks, and swap out old hardware completely. Most home jobs land between $85 and $150. You get the exact number before we leave the shop.

Residential Services →

Commercial Locksmith

Staff turns over. Keys disappear. Doors that open a hundred times a day wear out their hardware. We handle that for shops, restaurants, offices and rental properties around the city: master key systems, Medeco and Mul-T-Lock high-security locks, commercial lockouts, rekeys between tenants. Managing several properties? One well-planned visit usually takes care of all of them.

Car Locksmith & Auto Keys

Car lockouts happen to everyone — parking lots, gas stations, your own driveway in Northeast Philadelphia. We get the door open without scratching anything, and for most cars we can cut and program a new key from the van. That saves you a tow and a trip to the dealer. When you call, we'll ask for the year, make and model of the car so we bring the right machine.

Lock Rekey Service

Rekeying changes the internal pins so old keys stop working — the lock itself stays in place. It costs less than a full replacement and makes sense after a move, a lost key, or a change in who should have access to your home. We carry parts for same-day rekeying all across Philadelphia.

Lock Repair & High-Security Locks

Not everything needs a new lock. A sticky deadbolt or a door that won't line up right is usually a repair, and we'll tell you that instead of selling you new hardware. If you do want stronger locks, we install Medeco, Mul-T-Lock and Schlage high security cylinders, which are a lot harder to get past than what the hardware store sells.

Keypad & Keyless Entry

More Philadelphia homeowners and landlords are ditching traditional keys. We install keypad entry systems that give you complete control over access — especially practical for rental properties where tenants change regularly.

Why Philadelphia Residents Call Us First

A lot of the locksmith results you'll find online are not local businesses at all. They're national lead generators using local-looking phone numbers. Your call gets routed to a stranger, your address gets forwarded along, and someone you've never heard of turns up at your door. No local reputation on the line. No accountability if something goes wrong.

We're based at 2600 S 9th St in South Philadelphia — right here in the city, not dispatching from somewhere across town or out of state. Our guys drive this city every day. They know which streets to skip when the Phillies are home and where you can actually stop a van in Queen Village. That local knowledge means faster arrivals and no confusion about where you are.

Fully insured, with a certificate of insurance available on request. Same phone number, same shop, same neighborhood since 2009.

We're Local — Not a Call Center

When you call us, you're talking to someone who knows Philadelphia — the streets, the traffic, and the neighborhoods. That means faster response times and no confusion.

15+ Years of Experience

Started in 2009. Fully insured. 15,000+ jobs done across the city.

Clear Pricing — No Games

We quote the full price on the phone and that's what you pay at the door. No add-ons when we arrive. No hidden fees. No surprise charges.

Common Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often.

How fast can you get here?
Most of Philadelphia — 15 to 30 minutes. A real time estimate, not a hopeful guess. We'll tell you the honest number for your block when you call.
What does a lockout cost?
Usually $75–$150 depending on the job. Nights and holidays can add a little to that — but you'll hear the exact total on the phone before we send anyone. If the number changes at your door, you caught us breaking our own rule. It won't.
What's the difference between rekeying and changing the locks?
If the lock is in decent shape, rekeying costs less and does the job. If it's worn or damaged, replacement makes more sense. We'll look at it and tell you honestly — we don't sell you hardware you don't need.
Can you make a car key on the spot?
For most makes and models, yes — including transponder keys and fobs. Share the vehicle's year, make, and model when you call.
Do you serve my ZIP code?
We cover all Philadelphia ZIP codes plus nearby Delaware County towns. Find your ZIP in the Areas We Serve section above, or just call — if you're in the city or close to it, we almost certainly reach you.
Are you insured?
Yes — fully insured, and we'll show you the certificate if you ask. One thing most people don't know: Pennsylvania has no locksmith license. So if a company tells you they're state licensed, ask what license they're talking about, because the state doesn't issue one.
How do I know you're a real local company?
You mostly don't — that's the problem with this industry, and it's why we tell people to check two things: a real street address you could drive past (ours is 2600 S 9th St), and whether the person answering the phone actually knows the city. Ask us where 9th and Oregon is. A call center can't answer that.
What should I do while I wait for you?
Wait somewhere lit — a neighbor's stoop, the corner store, your car if you have it. One heads-up: for home lockouts we'll ask for ID or some proof you live there before we open the door. Annoying when it's your own house, we know. We check every time anyway. It protects you as much as it protects us. And if a kid or a pet is stuck in a car, don't wait for us — call 911 first.
Can you get a broken key out of the lock?
Yes, usually right there on the spot with an extraction tool — no need to replace the whole lock. If the key snapped from wear, we'll check whether the lock is worn too and tell you if it's due for a rekey while we're there.
Do you install smart locks?
Yes — we install and program most major smart lock brands, including August, Schlage, Yale, and Kwikset. Already own one? Have the model number ready when you call. Don't have one yet? We can recommend a model that fits your door.
What payment do you accept?
Cash, all major credit and debit cards, and Zelle. Payment is due at the time of service — and same as always, the price you hear on the phone is the price you pay at the door.
